Hello, I’m Simon—a lighting designer, technician, and project manager based in Adelaide, South Australia. With a deep passion for the emotional and transformative power of lighting, I specialise in creating dynamic, immersive experiences across live events, concerts, corporate functions, and architectural lighting installations. With a background spanning both entertainment and commercial lighting, I have extensive experience in lighting control, design, and integration. My career has taken me from project management and technical drafting to hands-on work as a lighting technician. I’ve worked on everything from large-scale productions to bespoke linear lighting solutions, ensuring that every project blends creativity with technical precision.
As a member of the IESanz (Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia & New Zealand) and with formal studies in lighting theory and design at RMIT, I bring a deep understanding of both the artistic and scientific aspects of lighting. I’ve also spent years in the commercial lighting space as a sales representative, design engineer, and business developer, giving me a well-rounded perspective on lighting applications from concept to execution.
Beyond lighting, I’m passionate about continuous self-improvement—both physically and mentally. Whether it’s cycling, swimming, strength training, or pushing my entrepreneurial mindset, I’m always looking for ways to grow and evolve. I also spend a lot of time working with 3D modelling, drafting, and design, ensuring my technical skills stay sharp in an ever-changing industry.
